Jennifer Levin Carter is a board certified internist. She completed her internship, residency and was chief resident at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Carter practiced internal medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital until 1996. Since 2000, Dr. Carter has been a healthcare analyst in biotechnology and medical technology. She has been a member of an angel group looking at early stage investment opportunities in healthcare. In 2000-2001, Dr. Carter consulted for a biodegradable polymer start-up company, on product development. She was the Medical Advisor to a PBS series on complementary medicine. Dr. Carter graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude with Distinction in Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics from Yale University. She received an MD from Harvard Medical School, where she was president of her class, and an MPH from The Harvard School of Public Health.
Dr. Elkin recently completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Cancer Research.
During her postdoctoral work, she earned a fellowship from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and presented her work at a Cold Spring Harbor conference. She earned her doctorate in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard Medical School and an A.B. in Biology and Music from Amherst College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude, with High Distinction in Biology.
Dr. Murphy earned her doctorate in Biochemistry at Temple Medical School and completed postdoctoral training at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School where she worked on gene therapy for mesothelioma. Her subsequent research focused on investigating the role of inflammation in epithelial cell tumorigenesis, using skin and breast as model tissues. This work led to an independent research grant from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for Breast Cancer Research. She collaborated on a variety of research projects, has numerous scientific publications, and presented at national and international meetings.
